Blooming Monogram DIY
Posted by Mekenna Malan on
Love is in the air! In preparation for Valentine's Day and the upcoming spring season, we're creating a colorful DIY that will bring beauty to your home year-round. A blooming monogram is quick, easy, and totally personalized - use these flower letters to spell out your family name, you and your partner's initials, a positive word like "L-O-V-E", or anything else you can think of. We made a floral "R" for Roolee, of course!
---
MATERIALS
Paper Mache Letters (We got ours from Hobby Lobby)
Box Cutter
Floral Foam
Hot Glue Gun
Assortment of Faux Flowers
Scissors or Wire Cutters
---
STEP ONE
Using the box cutter, cut your paper mache letter(s) in half width-wise. Remove the cardboard stuffing from the inside.
---
STEP TWO
Cut floral foam to fit inside the paper mache letter. It doesn't need to be pretty, as it will be covered with flowers! Hot glue the floral foam in place.
---
STEP THREE
Snip blooms off the faux flowers, leaving about an inch of stem to stick into the floral foam. Try to get an assortment of sizes.
---
STEP FOUR
Starting with the largest blooms, stick flower stems into the floral foam. Cluster the flowers together until all floral foam is covered. Rearrange based on flower size and color until you are happy with the way it looks!
---
YOU'RE DONE!
If you'd like to hang your blooming monogram, attach a hook to the back of the letter. Place in any room of your home to brighten your space!

This is beautiful! May I ask where you got the faux flowers from? I love the colors.
