Indulge in a full skincare routine.

Going all-out on your nightly skincare routine can help you relax, and your face will love it too! Take your time and really pamper yourself. Give yourself a facial massage when applying serums or facial oils. To get all the benefits of a facial massage, you can even use a stone facial roller!

Take a nice, hot bath.

Adding a hot bath into your evening routine can be as big of a deal as you want it to be. Only have a few minutes? Light a candle, put your hair up, and sit in the hot water for a minute or two. If you have a little longer, add your favorite bath salts and bring a book and a glass of water. Regardless of how long you spend in the bath, the hot water will do wonders for releasing the tension in your body and mind.

Make yourself a nightcap.

Step one: Grab your favorite mug. Step two: Brew some calming herbal tea, like chamomile or peppermint. Step three: Close your eyes and take in the smell, taste and warmth of the tea. Step four: Let go of any stress you felt during the day.

Make a to-do list for the next day.

Each night, take a few moments to write down everything you'd like to accomplish the next day. If there's anything on your list for today that you didn't finish, add it to tomorrow's list and remind yourself that tomorrow is a new day. Writing down what you'd like to get done tomorrow will help your brain release the thought so it won't keep you up all night.

Meditate, pray, or write in a journal.

Take a little time for yourself before bed to meditate, pray, or write in your journal (even three or five minutes will make a difference)! Express gratitude for the day that is coming to a close, manifest the things you want to accomplish in the coming day, and sit still with your thoughts to help clear your mind.

Diffuse some scents or light a candle.

Aromatherapy is scientifically proven to help put you in a state of relaxation very quickly. Light a candle or start your diffuser as you take a bath, do your skincare routine, read a book, or even just as you start cleaning up dinner. Bonus: Spray some lavender or other aromatherapy room spray on your pillow and sheets before bed!

Leave your phone out of the bedroom.

You've heard it time and time again, but trust us: charging your phone outside of your bedroom will make a huge difference in the quality of your sleep and the ease of your morning. Just having your phone out of sight and out of mind will help put your brain into a state of relaxation. If you're not a morning person and worried about waking up on time, buy an alarm clock!

Spend some time reading a book.

Sometimes in order to relax your mind, you need to escape the stresses and zone into something enjoyable. Reading is the perfect source of that escape + enjoyment! It could be your favorite childhood book, your favorite hero's journey, or even your guity pleasure romance novel. It doesn't matter what book you pick up, as long as you take a few minutes to read some pages and wind down.

Do a 10-minute tidy-up with the family.

Making a habit of doing a 10-minute tidy up with the entire household after dinner will bring your peace of mind to a whole new level. Nobody likes to wake up to dishes on the counter and toys or clothes on the floor! Play a couple fun songs on a speaker and put as many things away where they belong in 10 minutes. You'll be amazed how much can get done in this short amount of time when everyone is working together!

Prep an easy breakfast.

Overnight oats are your best friend! Do a quick Pinterest search to find easy and delicious overnight oats recipes and use whatever you have in your pantry. If you have a few extra minutes at night, prep something a little more hearty like a breakfast casserole. You'll go to sleep knowing the next day's breakfast is taken care of, and it'll give you something to be excited about in the morning!
